अभयं सत्त्वसंशुद्धिर्ज्ञानयोगव्यवस्थितिः। दानं दमश्च यज्ञश्च स्वाध्यायस्तप आर्जवम्॥
भगवान कहते हैं — जो व्यक्ति निडर है, जिसका चित्त शुद्ध है, जो ज्ञानयोग में स्थिर है, दान करता है, इंद्रियों पर संयम रखता है, यज्ञ करता है, स्वाध्याय करता है, तप करता है, और जो सरल (ईमानदार) है — वह दिव्य स्वभाव वाला होता है।
The blessed Lord said: Fearlessness, purity of heart, steadfastness in knowledge and yoga, charity, control over senses, performance of sacrifice, study of sacred texts, austerity, and honesty — these are the divine qualities of the wise.
“ईमानदार रमेश अंकल” रमेश अंकल सरकारी दफ्तर में काम करते थे।एक दिन एक बड़े व्यापारी ने उन्हें कहा:"अगर तुम मेरी गलती पर कुछ नहीं कहोगे,तो मैं तुम्हें ₹10 लाख दूंगा!"यानि घूस (bribe). बगल में कुछ लोगों ने कहा: "ले लो! सब ऐसा करते हैं!"लेकिन रमेश अंकल ने मना कर दिया। उन्होंने पैसे वाला लिफाफा लौटा दिया और उस आदमी की गलती की रिपोर्ट लिख दी। फिर क्या हुआ?वो व्यापारी गुस्से में आ गया। उसने रमेश अंकल को डराने की कोशिश की। रमेश अंकल का परिवार भी डर गया। लेकिन रमेश अंकल बोले:"अगर मैंने एक बार भी गलत किया,तो मैं आईने में अपनी आँखों में नहीं देख पाऊँगा!" फिर क्या हुआ? कुछ समय बाद, उस गलत आदमी का सच सबके सामने आ गया। और सबको पता चला कि रमेश अंकल सबसे ईमानदार इंसान हैं। उन्हें सम्मान मिला और सबने उनकी तारीफ की। इससे क्या सिख मिलती है?– जब कोई झूठ बोले या लालच दे,तो हमेशा सच पर टिके रहो।– कभी डरकर गलत काम मत करो। श्रीकृष्णजी कहते हैं:“जो सच्चा, निडर और लालच से दूर रहता है —वो ही असली हीरो होता है।”
“Honest Ramesh Uncle” Ramesh uncle used to work in a government office.One day a big businessman told him:"If you don't say anything about my mistake,I will give you ₹10 lakhs!"That is, bribe!Some people standing beside him said:"Take it! Everyone does this!"But Ramesh uncle refused. He returned the envelope containing the money And wrote a report about the mistake of that man. What happened next? The businessman got angry. He tried to scare Ramesh uncle. Ramesh uncle's family also got scared. But Ramesh uncle said: "If I do wrong even once, I will not be able to look into my eyes in the mirror!" What happened next? After some time, the truth of that wrong man came in front of everyone. And everyone came to know that Ramesh uncle is the most honest person. He got respect and everyone praised him. What do we learn from this? - When someone lies or tempts you, Always stick to the truth. - Never do wrong things out of fear. Shri Krishna says: "The one who is truthful, fearless and stays away from greed -he is the real hero."
“शांत तान्या दीदी” तान्या दीदी कॉलेज में पढ़ती थीं। वो बहुत ज़्यादा बात नहीं करती थीं, लेकिन हमेशा सबकी मदद करती थीं।– किसी को नोट्स चाहिए होते, तो दे देती थीं। – रक्तदान करती थीं (यानि ज़रूरतमंदों को खून देती थीं)। – और शाम को गरीब बच्चों को पढ़ाती थीं, वो भी बिलकुल मुफ्त में। लोगों ने पूछा:“तुम इतने अच्छे काम करती हो — पर कभी दिखावा क्यों नहीं करतीं? फोटो क्यों नहीं डालतीं? ”तान्या दीदी मुस्कुरा कर बोलीं: “मेरे गीता वाले गुरुजी ने कहा — असली ताकत शांति में होती है। बस अच्छे काम करो, चुपचाप।” वो क्या करती थीं? तान्या दीदी के पास एक कॉपी थी — जिसमें वो हर दिन लिखती थीं कि आज उन्होंने क्या सीखा, और कैसा महसूस किया।वो पुरस्कारों के पीछे नहीं भागती थीं, फिर भी सब उन्हें पसंद करते थे, उन पर भरोसा करते थे।क्योंकि वो बिना शोर मचाए ही प्यार, ज्ञान और दया का काम करती थीं। इससे क्या सीख मिलती है?– अच्छे काम चुपचाप करो, – शांति में भी बहुत ताकत होती है, – और दिखावा जरूरी नहीं होता — सच्चाई ही सबसे बड़ी चीज़ होती है।श्रीकृष्ण जी कहते हैं: "जो सादा, सच्चा और शांत रहता है — वो ही सबसे ज़्यादा मजबूत होता है।"
“Calm Tanya ” Tanya Didi was a college student. She didn’t talk much, but always helped everyone. – If someone needed notes, she would give them. – She used to donate blood (i.e. donate blood to the needy). – And in the evening, she used to teach poor children, that too for free. People asked: “You do so much good work — but why don’t you ever show off? Why don’t you post a photo?” Tanya Didi smiled and said: “My Gita teacher said — The real power is in peace. Just do good work, quietly.” What did she do? Tanya Didi had a notebook — in which she used to write every day what she learned today,and how she felt.She did not run after awards, yet everyone liked her, trusted her. Because she did the work of love, knowledge and kindness without making any noise. What do we learn from this? - Do good deeds quietly, - Silence is also very powerful, - And pretence is not necessary - truth is the greatest thing. Shri Krishna says: "The one who is simple, truthful and calm - he is the strongest."
“नाम नहीं, काम ही पूजा” एक गाँव में एक बूढ़े बाबा रहते थे। उनका नाम था हरिदास बाबा। वो हर दिन खुद ही एक मंदिर बना रहे थे — ईंट से ईंट जोड़कर, धीरे-धीरे, पंद्रह साल तक! उन्होंने कभी किसी से पैसे नहीं मांगे, कभी अपना नाम भी नहीं लिखा — ना दीवार पर, ना किसी पत्थर पर। हरिदास बाबा झोपड़ी में रहते थे – जो कमाते, दूसरों में बाँट देते थे – सुबह-सुबह उठकर मंत्र पढ़ते थे – और हर दिन मंदिर साफ करते थे — बिना थके, बिना बोले लोगों ने पूछा:“बाबा, आप इतना सब करते हो, तो अपना नाम क्यों नहीं लिखते? ”हरिदास बाबा मुस्कराए और बोले: “मैं ये भगवान के लिए कर रहा हूँ, किसी तारीफ़ के लिए नहीं।” एक दिन एक आदमी ने पूछा:“आप थकते नहीं इतना सब क्यों करते हो?”बाबा बोले:“जब मैं भगवान के लिए दान, पूजा और मेहनत करता हूँ, तो मुझे लगता है कि मैं सही रास्ते पर हूँ।” इससे क्या सीख मिलती है?– असली भक्ति चुपचाप होती है – नाम नहीं, काम ज़रूरी है – जो डर से मुक्त, सच्चा, ईमानदार, और बिना लालच के सेवा करता है, वही भगवान का प्यारा होता है श्रीकृष्ण जी कहते हैं: “सच्चा भक्त वो है जो बिना दिखावे के अच्छे काम करता है।”
“Not name, work is worship” An old man lived in a village. His name was Haridas Baba. He was building a temple every day himself – brick by brick, slowly, for fifteen years! He never asked anyone for money, never even wrote his name – neither on the wall, nor on any stone. What did Haridas Baba do? – He lived in a hut – whatever he earned, he distributed it among others – he got up early in the morning and recited mantras – and cleaned the temple every day – without getting tired, without speaking. People asked: “Baba, you do all this, then why don’t you write your name?” Haridas Baba smiled and said: “I am doing this for God, not for any praise.” One day a man asked: “Don’t you get tired, why do you do all this?” Baba said: “When I donate, worship and work hard for God, I feel that I am on the right path.” What do we learn from this? – True devotion is done silently – Deeds are important, not name – One who serves without fear, is truthful, honest, and without greed is loved by God Sri Krishna says: “A true devotee is one who does good deeds without showing off.”
